We're a church in Chester, WV that takes Jesus seriously and everything else pretty loosely. Sunday mornings are casual and a little loud — coffee's always on, someone's always got something homemade, and you won't be put on the spot when you walk in.
That's not a metaphor. We actually believe it — that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead is still at work in ordinary people in ordinary places, including Chester, WV.
We're not a polished production. We're a community of people who've been caught by something bigger than themselves and can't quite shut up about it. We sing loud, think hard, laugh a lot, and take communion every single week because we need the reminder.
10:00 for food and coffee, 10:30 for the service. Either works. Nobody's keeping score.
Jeans, a dress, whatever you grabbed this morning. Nobody's going to look twice.
There's usually something homemade. First-timers get dibs. This is not negotiable.
No standing up, no public visitor cards, no pressure of any kind. Just come and settle in.
People do it. Toby won't notice. (He notices. He doesn't mind.)
Doubt, skepticism, hard stuff — all welcome here. We've been there. Some of us are still there.
Sermon titles are placeholders — these will auto-populate from your YouTube channel once the automation is built.
The coffee's on, the rolls are warm, and we'll love and laugh with you right where you are — wherever that is. Come see for yourself.
